My name is Jill Satin and I have been an accredited British Humanist Celebrant for twelve years. In that time I have had the pleasure of conducting over 850 weddings, funerals and baby namings in the UK and abroad.

Every ceremony I write and conduct is individually tailored from start to finish.  It is extremely important to me that each ceremony is honest, warm and accurate to the individuals and families I work with. Every person is unique: namings, weddings, and funerals should reflect that uniqueness.

My work as a Humanist Celebrant is central to who I am. I believe that we all need to make the most of the one life we have as resourceful, self-reliant and constructive human beings. As a Humanist I believe that in my everyday life I should conduct myself with honesty, generosity and truth. I am someone who has been fortunate to enjoy a well-travelled and enormously interesting and diverse life. This philosophy and experience is reflected in the ceremonies I conduct.

The ability to wear many different hats; to be an interesting and vibrant storyteller or a sensitive and reflective speaker makes for a good Celebrant. Before writing a wedding, funeral or naming, I conduct in-depth interviews and research and then write the bespoke script that the occasion deserves.
